🌳 What to Expect 🌳
We will be planting 40 native trees on the Nicholson Street trail to create shade on the trail, protect pathway from street, reduce pollution, and support wildlife on the trail. The planting area is right alongside the street, so the ground is expected to be difficult, but rewarding. All planting equipment will be provided. Volunteers, please make sure you've also completed and signed the waiver, as you will not be allowed to participate unless they have done so. You do not have to bring a printed waiver to the park. Please watch for my emails coming in the week before the event, as they will have all the necessary information regarding the event (parking, bathrooms, getting to the site, what to bring, etc.). We look forward to making a difference with you!
🥾 What to Bring and Wear 🥾
Please bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated, sunscreen, snacks, and anything you need to spend time volunteering outside. We will bring some gloves, but we encourage you to bring your own pair.
Please wear comfortable closed-toe shoes, long-sleeved shirts, and pants that you do not mind getting dirty.
🚲 Parking Information & Meeting Location 🚗
Parking will be available in the adjacent parking lot by the Common Bond. We highly encourage alternate forms of transportation such as walking, biking, public transportation, carpooling, or ridesharing.
Once you arrive, please meet the LIvelihood at the tent where we will be checking in volunteers.
